You mean the language that was completely non-portable, because no-one
could agree on a standard.
You mean the language that lacked a standard namespace solution, so
everyone rolled their own?
The language that inevitably resulted in programs collapsing under
their own weight, once the interactions between various macros became
impossible to control?
Now that being said, Lisp introduced many many great ideas. But
learning to incorporate those ideas into languages that are actually
usable has taken a great deal of time and effort.
