Yes, 8 days downtime is unacceptable, even for a free service but with no
direct email or telephone support there's nothing you can do really.
May I suggest that if you wish to use Gmail for business then you really
should consider Google Apps for Business. For what you get I'd say the
price is well worth it, esp. the 99.9% uptime SLA and 24/7 phone or email
