Along with two new CDs and a new album of Flood material by Telescope,
the PoL site has been completely updated. Have a look.

K. Leimer. The Useless Lesson
The Useless Lesson includes collaborations with Leo Abrahams, (solo
artist and guitarist on Brian Eno’s Another Day on Earth) Dwight Ashley
(Nepenthe artist) and phonographer Anode. The seven new pieces
juxtapose works for string trio and electronic ambience in a connective
network of "intricate quiet". "Bold, beautiful and bodacious,
effortlessly synergizing such overly-abused categories as ambient,
minimalism, pointillism and neoclassical to such a degree as to render
those terms meaningless. If Leimer’s latest course of electronic
ambrosia doesn’t redress the artistic imbalance laid down by the
universe, it’s proof positive the gods above possess little in the way
of taste." – Darren Bergstein, e/i Magazine

Gregory Taylor. Amalgam: Aluminum / Hydrogen
Taylor's first CD for PoL is out  now, following his contribution to
the Flood page last year. Like Robert Henke, Keith Fullerton Whitman,
or Christopher Willits, Gregory Taylor takes on the problem of
developing new ways to originate pieces by setting aside typical
compositional / improvisational techniques in favor of developing new
technologies capable not only of generating sound, but of creating
music. "... in the case of Amalgam: Aluminum / Hydrogen, I find myself
in an unusual position – I keep coming back to the disk, not out of
duty, but out of respect and awe. This is a piece both lovely and
loving, and represents a tasteful window into the mind of a true
artist."– Darwin Grosse, Mastering Engineer, CreativeSynth

Free on Flood:
Telescope: Three Pieces
We've admired these guys for a long time, and they've agreed to share
some of their work through the PoL Flood program. Telescope is a
performance ensemble dedicated to producing experimental music
(recorded simply for faithful, high-quality reproduction) and willing
to integrate additional like-minded musicians and performers.

Digital Only:
Three More Flaws
We'll no longer be archiving Leimer's "Flaws", but will rotate three
new and free pieces through every few months. The three made available
this time are outs from "The Useless Lesson" as well as a study from
sessions for the music currently under construction.

Thanks again from PoL.
