You are invited to VESTA FilmFest Wed. afternoons in April

Teachers living in the Lower Mainland might like to attend these Wednesday
afternoon events in April - see below.

VESTA's social justice subcommittees have put together three afternoons
focusing on 3 different critical topics and featuring a short film, guest
speaker and refreshments. See the flyer below for more details. In brief,

The Way Home - *Recent snapshot look at Homelessness and poverty in BC - Wed
April 15 - 4-7 pm
The Suzuki Diaries - Sustainability in action- Wed April 22- 4-7 pm
Reviving Ophelia - Saving the selves of adolescent girls- Wed April 29- 4-7
pm

All take place at VESTA office, next to VSTA office, at Commercial Drive and
East 13th Avenue.
*Note - this film presentation includes written curriculum for teachers to
use with high school students.

These events have been produced by many members, especially Treena Goolieff,
working with the TOC subcommittee, and by Linda Young, chairperson of VESTA
Poverty Committee, who has been spearheading this filmfest.
