Now that we have unlocked the secret of displaying data in Google Maps we
are making progress towards our ultimate goal - a Bicycle Route Planner
(BIKEQUEST?) .

Where we are now is that we can display existing data on Google Maps on our
website. The secret is a Google MAP API key (a sort of license to use
programming code) and some great sites that do the back end programming work
for you, http://del.icio.us/bikemap and a web friendly GPS format called
GPX. Believe me I didn't know how to do any of this a week ago.

This is a collection of the bike lanes in Philadelphia (and the Schuylkill
River/Perkiomen Trails), we will be adding more trails and suburban bike
lanes in the near future.

We will also be displaying our Freedom Valley Ride route next year when it
is finalized. We will also be looking into posting favorite rides at a
future date. All of this date will contribute towards our route planner and
the updated version of the bike map.
