By email, Christian clarified that 0.6.1 does not address the 10.4 ppc  
issue.  He said we should use 0.4 for that.

I have no evidence that GUB is broken[1].  It cannot compile git master,  
but that's due to a problem in git master, not GUB.


[1] I realize that Phil encountered some difficulty, but I have no reason  
to think this is any unusual breakage in GUB.  I think it's just the usual  
10-100 hours of work that it takes to set up GUB on a platform that differs  
in any respect (be it linux distribution or cpu architecture) from the  
working one.
I may revise this claim if I can't build doc, but so far GUB seems just the  
same as always to me.
