Thanks for the bug report Connor. I tried your minimal example on my
stock install of 2.15.38 running under Ubuntu 10.04 on x86 hardware. I
don't reproduce the bug at all. No warnings about a lack of music, a
pdf is produced and it contains the single note as expected.

I can't guess what's going on with your system but perhaps one of the more experienced devs can give you some ideas.

Are you able to try using the installer instead?
