Hi all,
I just got the beta of rrdtool 1.3 sucked down with system
updates (I'm running the “Rawhide” Fedora) on my devel box
and Cricket's collector immediately began trashing, eating all
RAM and swapping like mad.
I haven't had time to look into what's up — a bad interaction
between collector's “slurp” and the new rrdtool mmap/madvice
support perhaps? — but for now I would advice being
exceedingly careful about letting the rrdtool 1.3 betas anywhere
near your production systems.
