Since the configuration is called source.list I assume package
repositories are called "source" in debian, otherwise they would name it
like /usr/portage where in gentoo it is called "portage" or /usr/ports
where in FreeBSD it is called "port".

So what I mean is 'aptitude update' usually finish very fast and only
download a few kb of data.
