If only it was that simple, 30 years ago the NZ/US ex rate was about 2
which shows how much we have slipped.
I realise this is off topic but as long as we persist with a zealous
socialist egalitarian government that would
happily flog off anything to fund its experiments (which seem to
alternately consist of chuck money at anyone who begs
whilst guilting the tax payers into paying more tax) then overseas
investors will happily buy chunks of NZ
Half of me (my Tangata whenua side ) is looking forward to the future
when not only Maori but all NZ'ers
become guests in our own country.
At least a higher exchange rate means we get a better quality of beads
and blankets for our land
