Yes, I get that underflow feeling too and agree. Here, a lot of people who
might normally have purchased Interbase, have gone across to Firebird. They
don't even advertise a price for Interbase so there can be no comparison.

That I'm not so certain of. but I think you are right. Embarcardero do not
lose any customers to Lazarus (or minimal) as Delphi 7 developers are still
strong in the community. On the other hand people who start out in Lazarus
may eventually come over to Delphi, so it's a symbiotic relationship.
