Hi Mike,
No need to despair. What you want can be done quite easily. But it had
me stumped for a while too, and it took some reading in the manual.
What you may have overlooked - at least I did - is that when you create
a new menu, you'll have to make the choice for a plain menu or a
layered menu. Look in the DVDSP toolbar on top: Import asset / Ad menu
/ Add layered menu. That's the one you need. Then it's simple: assign a
.PSD file as the background, create a button, click Layers in the
Layered Button Inspector, and choose which .psd layer you want for each
state. yes, it's that simple.
But simply not available in a regular menu. So if you started off with
the wrong type of menu, you won't find it.
Hope this helps.
Peter
