I had lost my ability to playback MPEG 2 files with QT player after the
latest updates were installed (G5, Tiger, FCP Studio).

I purchased the QT component...my original .dmg file would not work, and my
original software links for the purchased software were long gone.

After reading your posts, I went to the .Mac store, under my accounts and
found that my purchased software items had download links.

I downloaded my QT MPEG2 component, re-installed and have now MPEG2
playback capabilities returned.
