B. NEW PUBLICATIONS ON MEDICAID CITIZENSHIP

A new Medicaid program rule, required by a federal law, means that many US
citizens who apply for or renew Medicaid coverage must provide documentation
on the citizenship and identity of everyone who will get health coverage,
including children, parents, and pregnant women. The rule, which went into
effect on July 1, will affect most HUSKY A applicants and members.

Connecticut Voices has created a new Medicaid Citizenship & Identity
resource page on our Web site.  New facts sheets below have been added.
Please check back for updates and revisions.

1. Which US Citizens Need to Document their Citizenship and Identity

This chart is a quick reference guide about who is and is not affected by
the new Medicaid citizenship documentation rule, which became effective on
July 1, 2006.  The documentation requirements vary by the type of applicant.

2.  Citizenship & Identity Requirement Flier for Families

CT Voices has developed a new "plain language" fact sheet for families
alerting them to the new Medicaid citizenship and identity documentation
requirements.  The flier is called "What U.S. Citizens Need to Apply for
HUSKY A."

3.  Documents That Can Prove Citizenship & Identity for HUSKY A Applicants

List of documents that can meet the requirements of proof of citizenship and
