This symptom happened to me a few months ago on the 1D Mk2, the repair sheet
indicated the following parts were replaced:

- Shutter assembly
- Shutter lever arm

The part that REALLY ticked me off was it took Canon Canada 5 weeks, even
with CPS, for them to tell me what was wrong, and another week to fix the
camera.

While I did have the loaner from Canon during this time, I felt I was
hand-cuffed with the 1D with the less robust AF, no slower than ISO 200, no
faster than ISO 800, alarming power consumption rate such that I had to
constantly turn off the camera to prolong the charge......

It had been so long waiting for the repair I even forgot to ask for the
replaced parts back.

Ken
