Dick:  Are you aware that Apple removed the
embedded keypad function from its laptops a
couple of years ago, just as they removed floppy
disk support and drives much longer ago than
that?  It might be necessary to add a USB keypad
as a peripheral to use that function.  I really
miss that NumLoc function, but it's gone, and
it's either there on your own computer or it
isn't.

This was discussed very recently on the SibList,
and there's some confusion about it, but the
confusion may be on my part (as it often is).
