Yes. That's a bug. The automatically written file is actually supposed
to be called $FG_HOME/autosave.xml, which makes clear that it's generated
automatically and not to be edited by humans, while $FG_HOME/preferences.xml
is owned by the user and respected by fgfs. I'll provide a patch that
ensures correct naming for the next cooperative release (1.0.1).
