Lena,
My source data is from oracle.
I have attempted the first strategy with no luck. In my destination
dgn file an element query shows line style = ByLevel(0). Should the
"0" be the igds_style number and if so where does that number come
from?
Changing the level manager from overrides to bylevel has no effect on
the display.
The visualiser shows the correct igds_style_name, in this case
"Fence".
My seed file contains no data. It only sets a framework of level
number, name and symbology and relies on rsc files for fonts and line
styles. This may be where the problem is.
I notice when I visualise multiple data sets with fences the
igds_style number is different and that some data sets have
igds_linkages associated with the custom line styles and others do
not.
If the style number resides in the rsc file can FME read it? FME
Readers and Writers help under rsc file states "However, it is the
user’s responsibility to provide the correct seed file containing the
definitions of the custom line styles and to copy the .rsc file into
the directory containing other Microstation resource files." Does this
mean the seed file and the rsc files need to be in the same
directory. Currently they are not but the workspace\configuration
\symbolgy points to the rsc files.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Russell
