Hi,
Back at LGM we had a discussion about new website where jimmac
volunteered to create a new website and I volunteered to write news
for it. Now that most of infrastructure is back and jimmac actually
works on the new website, I feel ashamed ;) and I'd like to know few
things.
The first thing is if I should start writing news now or wait till the
new site is up and running.
The second thing is hoe exactly I should do that. What I've been doing
for gimp.ru in the past 0.5 year with regards to development and
project news is:
a) weekly digest of things happening in gimp, gegl and babl git repos
b) google summer of code news
c) some minor news like alexia getting a tablet from Wacom and making
a good use of it
Krita team also does a sort of weekly digest, but maybe this way is
not good for upstream GIMP 's website. That's what I'd like to know.
The third thing, assuming that I start now, is how to proceed. Do I
send a git formatted patch? Or do I commit it right away? Does anybody
want to be moderator for news?
