Fish workers staged a dharna before the Secretariat here on Saturday
demanding revival of welfare schemes, distribution of relief
assistance for lean months, lump sum for children and release of
kerosene at fair price. The agitation was organised by the Kerala
Swathantra Matsya Thozhilali Federation. State president of the
federation P.P.John, general secretary Jackson Pollayil and National
Fishworkers Forum secretary T.Peter spoke. — Special Correspondent
