Does Your Rectum Itch?

You may have pinworms

These little worms live in your stomach and are sustained by nutrients in
food which travels through your intestines.

Pinworms are small, white worms which is called -Enterobius vermicularisand
when you sleep, the females go from your intestines, through your
rectum, and deposit eggs around your anus. If you have an itchy butt, and
you are losing sleep which is also making you irritable the infection may
be heavy. Besides difficulty sleeping you may also lose your appetite.

Take a flashlight and if you are doing this alone, don't try to look
directly at your rectum. Get a mirror. - or get your best friend to look
directly at your anus.

Or, do the scotch tape test. Blot the area and
then examine the tape for those pesty pinworm eggs.

Bathing or a bowel movement may carry the pinworms away from your
anus and you won't see them but may still be infected. Therefore, as soon
