- read .ps files
    - display two pages
    - watches files, to automatically update when file has changed

As far as I know, you're right, xpdf doesn't have those features.

BTW, there is also evince and kghostview, maybe others.  I don't know if
anything has implemented the two-pages-at-a-time view.
