Hi list,
One thing that I think would really help the gui discussion is a detailed list
on what different plugins may want to do with the gui. Personally, I think
it's difficult to discuss pros/cons of different solutions without something
concreate to base it on.
I have started the list below (pretty short, but I'm feeling too tired for
anything more elaborate). Please add plugins and actions to the list. If you
think this is a good idea, I'll put together a summary on the wiki when we
get a more complete list.
* History plugin
- Add a "View history" item to the all users' popup menu.
- For each protocol, add a "View history" item to each protocol's sub menu
(for viewing system messages).
- In all message windows, add a button to view history.
- Add a tab to all users' info window, for displaying the actually history.
* Protocol plugin
* Auto-reply plugin
* Encryption plugin
* Shake-the-window-when-I-get-a-message-from-my-boss plugin
