Please pass this on to anyone you think may be interested.

We need some factories here in Humboldt County and especially here in
Eureka.

*We don't need to turn ourselves into China.  We don't need sweatshops.  We
must insist that our factories do not adversely effect our environment or
quality of life.  We must insist that the employees of the factory be
represented by an independent union, and also that the employees have some
ownership of the enterprise.*

*We do need places (factories) that produce things of value to us and also
provide a reasonable** place for people to work.*

*We also need some factories here for survival in these uncertain times.  We
need reasonable local production of the basics of life - food, shelter, and
clothing.*

*I suggest that we start with a basic clothing factory.  A factory to turn
out shirts and pants for men, women and children.  *

*I also welcome suggestions for other types of factories that might thrive
here.  *

*Please comment here or email me at

have a peaceful day,

Bill
