Debugging AFP connections
by Oliver Block

Hi:

I am going to a client tomorrow to troubleshoot poor AFP performance on OS X
10.3 and 10.4 clients connecting to an Xserve G5 running 10.4.3 server.  In
the past I have used 'setenv AFP_DEBUG_LEVEL 8' to debug issues when
mounting AFP volumes, but I am having trouble finding commands to debug an
AFP connection after mounting, e.g. during file transfers, while saving
files from Photoshop to the AFP volume, etc.

Can anyone point me to tools/commands for keeping an eye on AFP connections
other than the client's and server's logs?

Thanks,

Oliver
