Who defines the faults though? Again, you're talking about something
subjective.

So, "real" reporters are now plagiarizing articles with material from
WIKIs. That's very dangerous.
... and what about the people who aren't online that have a better
grasp of a topic? They have no opportunity to contribute.
Particularly against an online system where anyone with a browser and
connection can rewrite history.
... and what about human nature? There will *always* be mischievous,
aggressive people who specifically take advantage of human/technical
vulnerabilities. They see an open door and they immediately think to
do something destructive.
Too many variables. I'm all for community journalism, but completely
open WIKIs don't seem like a good answer.
