Hello All, sorry if this message is a repeat...

I have an original G4 XServe which I would like to put in four 500GB
drives into.  I went through the archives and only came across Dhan
mentioning that these drives aren't currently rated for continuous
usage.  My questions are:

1 Will popping in four of these drives work in a first gen XServe? I
know that Apple doesn't support it, but anyways...

2 Would anyone highly recommend against this? My plan is to software
mirroreach set of the 500 giggers.

3 Are any 500GB drives currently rated for continuous usage?
