Interesting, to think like that. And an ideal for human kind. But while
dealing with concrete situations, how do we use this social construction
theory? Homosexuality is socially constructed, then changing it possible?
Heterosexuality is socially constructed, then changing it possible! Then why
the whole struggle for identity politics? What is in a gay and lesbian? A
choise which can be changed accordingly?
We enjoy sex. But access to sex, and power to sex, is different between
different people. For example women, gay people and many others have
different access. Also certain desires and expressions are completely
prohibited. I used to get scolded for shaking legs. An education, which
doesnot engage with these differences, only talking of sex, can only
replicate the hetero normative social order. Dont you think so?
