Jeff Halpern of Bernstein Research on Verizon's 2Q: "We believe Verizon
management’s clear focus on addressing the key issues that have been overhanging
Verizon’s shares for the past year - specifically, the potential for overpayment for
Vodafone’s stake in Verizon Wireless and the uncertainty in the economics of FiOS -
through clearer communications and investor education will pay off in the form of
stock appreciation in the coming quarters, supporting reiteration of our 'outperform'
rating on Verizon’s shares."
