i cant speak for others, but i do not see the connection between the
Black Bloc and the hordes of marchers, while i can discern a connection
between the mass of Egyptian protesters, for example, and those that
engaged in direct action with the police. as far as i know there was a
whole coordinated effort by hordes of people to support physically those
that were taking on the police, including medical stations staffed with
doctors and older people doling out water to the thirsty. right at the
begining of the Egyptian uprising there was a call for unity amongst
CHristians and Muslims. did the groups in ENgland go home with a
similar sense of solidarity? it doesnt sound like it. so i find it much
more interesting what is the relationship between Black Bloc and
marchers. did the Black Bloc tactices embolden the marchers? or were the
latter thinking "who invited these clowns"?
thems my questions, not pontificating over the tactics of violence and
non-violence.
