i would strongly recommend that the person that you employ to weld or
build up the casting has done such work in the past
you may need the heat the casting and  test heat with heat crayons and
maintain the temperature while buildup is being done this is a job for
a pro and not for a regular welder
cooling has to be slow  also or you may have cracks
