Hi Marsha,
Well, honestly I am not a formal philosopher, so your question on the
rules of metaphysics in Western terms would be better asked of
another.  However, if you read volumes on metaphysics you can see what
is done.  For one, it is applying rigor to terminology, and
consistency between different statements you propose on this forum.

Wouldn't you agree with this?  If we can simply write down thoughts
which are not consistent within a personal metaphysical framework,
then we are not presenting a metaphysics, but simply making statements
and presenting quotes just for the purpose of making statements and
presenting quotes.  This would not be a metaphysical discussion but
more of a rally where we repeat what the guy with the megaphone says:
"Hell No, We Won't Go, Hell No, We won't Go...!, or, "We are the 99%".
This is mob mentality where we try to find someone who agrees with us
in order to claim that we are thinking in the best way.  It is fame
through association.

If you present a quote, explain how it fits in with your metaphysics.
This will allow us to evaluate it within our own personal metaphysics.
For example, you divide everything up into patterns and such, then
what?  Where do you take that in terms of metaphysics?  We divide the
body up into chemistries and such, yet we still can point to the body
and give it other attributes.  What are you pointing at with your
pattern descriptions?

Often I ask you how a statement you makes is consistent with another
statement you make.  I am trying to appreciate your metaphysics and
the logic that goes into it.  I am certainly not an attack dog.
