Hi Marsha,
Yes, I agree.  Perhaps one day a personal appreciation of mindfulness
will be reflected in your posts rather than the pattern approach you
have adopted.  As you know, there are no patterns in mindfulness.
There is no fear or righteousness in mindfulness and no accusations by
pretending to be a victim.  Perhaps you will get out of the robotic
sleep in that way, through applying what you read about.  It is fine
to post about these things, it is yet another to actually do them.
Walk the talk, and tell me what you find.

Good luck in whatever you mean by being fully present.  Perhaps you
are "distant" now?  If so, what are you distant from?  Is there a side
to life that I do not know about?  Somewhere over the rainbow :-) ?
