Hi Tuukka,
What you write about walking steps is Zen, and indeed noble, in my opinion.  I was using the step metaphor to imply that one can go simply by words, or by what they represent.

All I know of you are from your posts, which are sometimes of low Quality,  but then often are mine.  I appreciate it when that is pointed out to me, for I use this forum to improve my presentation of what I personally see Quality to be. I of course learn what I am seeing along the way,

Peace

Sent laboriously from an iPhone,
Mark

I mean, of course I could give you a lot of post hoc reasons about why it's useful to walk stairs... such as saving people from insanity, developing AI, unifying a significant portion of philosophy which has not yet been unified. But... uhh... I ... why do -I- do this? The moment I'm doing it? I just find the formulae beautiful, I'm interested of them, I'm interested of the logic. And I get the feeling that I'm seen as some sort of a pervert for this tendency of mine. It's funny. I just asked for a neuropsychological detail, and now I'm doing something wrong?

I follow these mailing lists for new ideas, but I don't see the point of this conversation. You are surely doubting something, and I'd like to know what it is. I still have the feeling you probably have a false assumption about me, but I've been wrong on these kind of things occasionally. I write the formulae like I breath. I'm driven to it like an animal. Should I be some actor, behaving all fancy-pansy because his formulae are so fancy-pansy? They're not fancy-pansy for me when I work with them. I'm just figuring out what they mean and learning maths at the same time.
