2 + 2 may equal 5 if the value of 2 is high enough.
There is the limit of the round in which 2.3 (rounded to 2)
plus 2.3 equals 4.6 (rounded to 5). 2 + 2 =  4 is provisional
given the accuracy and precison desired.

So when we say it's as obvious as 2 +2 = 4  or as certain as 1 + 1 = 2
we are only speaking in abstract generalities.

When dealing in measure one must be aware of emerging accumulative error
due to the round, and as measures and tasters of experience, we may profit to
see that when we generalize ,
we move toward greater error.
