Thanks, Kevin.

I read the Baggini interview when it first hit Anthony's site.  I  thought it
interesting.
I haven't been lurking on the MD.
I've been limiting myself to the MF, so far. (As if half a hit makes  me not
an addict.)
I'll print this & try to get to Ham's remarks on Essence  later this week.

All:

I bought an interesting book via Amazon:

Peter Jenkins:   A Walk Across America.  1978

Jenkins walked from Alfred, NY to New Orleans in '73-'74
A guy, a dog, a backpack.

There must be others in this genre.... right, right... I can find them with
Google.
------------------------

OK, here's a real book trivia question that Google probably can't help
with....
There was a paperback book out in the late 70's/early 80's that  looked a lot
like ZMM.
By this I mean it literally looked like the ZMM paperback, with warm brown
tones, a landscape, a man, standing alone perhaps, looking out, perhaps...
The book was a personal story that included mental illness in some way...
the book was not a philosophy book, obviously not as well written as  Pirsig's
masterpiece, but still, I remember there was such a book, it had some  interest
for me, and I can't remember what it was called, nor can I  remember much of
the story.

Anyone seen it / remember it?

Ted
