[mythtv-users] MORE INFO Re: Many keyboard commands don't work

HELP PLEASE...  Here is some more info.

Here is the output from mythfrontend, and at the bottom are some
"couts" that I inserted.  I'm still lost as to why channel up/down
does not work.  Also, there is no OSD output displayed, even though
SetText is being called when I press the channel up button.

1. Note that "persistentbrowsemode" is true.  If I force it to
"false", then CHANNELUP does change the channel, but still no on
screen display of the channel number, and when I do it, suddenly I get
a bunch of info messages saying "rebuffering", over and over, which
causes screen flicker.  So I'm leaving persistentbrowsemode on (as is
the case in the output below).

2. Note that CHANNELUP causes a call to BrowseDispInfo, and thats
where I've put some couts.  The infoMap shows the channel is changing
(10, 11, 12, etc.), but its not really changing on the screen.  (Note
that program_info is not null.)

3. There is some suspicious output.  Maybe it is normal, but I have to
point it out since I don't know.

a. The RingBuf error about the invalid file: /var/store is writable
and backend and frontend are on the same machine (this is not an NFS
issue).  I don't know why the date is 2001, or why it says it's an
invalid file.  I even tried clearing out /var/store but got the same
error.

b. The BadMatch XError.  Video displays anyway.  I have an nVidia card
with proper drivers.

c. If I change the channel by pressing a number key (e.g., 2),
mythfrontend prints "rebuffering" info messages to the screen every
second or more often, and I get flicker.

Here is the output:
