Sorry if this is addresses somewhere and I've not found it.  I'd like to recommend net-snmp for a near-term project, but in doing the evaluation, it seems the code and build scripts are verified under VC 6, or earlier?  I'm trying to use VC 8 (aka visual studio 2005) and finding the scripts expect
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\Tools\vsvars32.bat"
To have defined
MSVCDir

And it don't.
I'm assuming there's some relatively trivial steps I can take to work around this and will begin trying but...
