On Mandriva 2010.2 'make check' reports:

  ./test/inc/test-deb359167 SKIP (missing valgrind)
  SKIP: test/inc/test-deb359167
  All 45 tests passed
  (1 tests were not run)

That looks better than MDV 2007.
