A programming concept called protothreads (http://www.sics.se/~adam/
pt/) might also help to ease Cocoa coding.

Here is an Objective-C version of this library (http://
www.frameworklabs.de/protothreads.html) to evaluate the usefulness of  
this concept on OS X.
