I tried in the past. but i give up 4 2 months ago, my solution was to  
do shell scripts in the subversion server machine (Linux machine) and  
the scripts will manage all the connection, so our programmers only  
have to do a ssh to the subversion machine and then that machine take  
the files from the os400 (FTP) automatically and put them in the svn  
repositories
