However it has caught the public eye when it started coming as an
advertisement.

People always assign J'suriya to be batting aggressively at the start of ODI
cricket. But thats not quite the case.

Srikkanth always batted that way. Then in 1992, Martin Crowe employed
Greatbatch to smash in the initial 15 overs to give the team a great start.

Also Lance Cairns in 1979 WC used to open to play whirlwhind innings at the
top.

But the HYPE is that only Jayasuriya and K'witharana introduced whirlwind
batting at the top.
