No caso, eu deveria mudar o meu lilo.conf para ficar assim?

boot = /dev/hda2     -----> Em vez de /dev/hda, colocar /dev/hda2 ??

message = /boot/boot_message.txt
prompt
timeout = 50
# Override dangerous defaults that rewrite the partition table:
change-rules
  reset
# Normal VGA console
vga = normal
# End LILO global section
# Linux bootable partition config begins
image = /boot/vmlinuz
  root = /dev/hda3   -----> Ou é aqui que está o erro, apontando
para "/home" em vez de " / "??
  label = Linux
  read-only
# Linux bootable partition config ends


Ou seja, em vez de mudar o boot, eu deveria editar o root, na instrução
acima??
