Thanks Rob,
Oh man, I didn't know the plugin worked this way (I was not able to get it running in our environment -- I've mentioned the problem in earlier mails). If I would have known I would have written the new code along these lines.

Anyway, I've also written a decorator to decorate the file icons, change the color of the filenames etc. to mimic sourcejammer client behaviour. This decorator is executed as and when necessary to redecorate the files in the Project Explorer based on their status on the server. If the plugin keeps connecting and disconnecting from the projects (automatically) it might slow down the environment -- what do you think? On the other hand, now the plugin does not maintain 3 connections to the server, pooling its single connection, to the project that needs it.

I'll work on it and let you know how it goes...

Thanks,
Karan

I'm pretty sure that SJ Eclipse already handles this just fine. You can set up different projects
to point to different spaces in a single archive, different archives on the same server, or
different archives on different servers. When you switch from a project on one archive to a
project on another archive, the only way you'll be able to tell is that SJ Eclipse will prompt you
again for your login info. (In fact, I've just tested and this is exactly what happens.)

This is a bit of a pain, but even this can be worked around.

The SJ client deals with this by first trying to log in to the new archive using the user's
current login info. If that works, presto. If it doesn't, SJ catches the exception and then
prompts with the login dialog.

Something like that will probably work in SJ Eclipse.
