Fwd: Black screen on Ubuntu Server 11.10

Hi everybody,

I have configured an Ubuntu Server to launch on boot a Java graphical
aplication with Openbox desktop manager. Now I have in my home directory a
.bash_profile with this content:

setterm -blank 0 -powersave off -powerdown 0
xset s off (also I have tested this: xset -dpms)

Nothing works fine (about power management). The machine launches fine the
Java application but if I don't use the machine, a few minutes later,
appears a black screen. I have assumed that screen has been disabled by
Linux kernel. With Gnome Desktop works fine.

I can't to disable black screen that appears after a few minutes without
use. I have been looking for about this but I don't get nothing.

Any suggestions or advices?

I hope your answers.

Thank you very much for your time.

Best regards,

Antonio.
