I've spent the last week or so fooling around with Icon. I like it. I
understand that Unicon /is/ Icon, but with various enhancements and an
OOP syntax, the latter being totally optional.
Because my programming background is Perl, PHP, Tcl, Bash etc, some
Icon/Unicon terminology and MO are unfamiliar to me. Is this ML
strictly for accomplished Unicon hackers, or is there the patience
here to guide a noob up the learning curve?
I am interested in Icon/Unicon primarily as a tool to do CGI stuff,
including db backends. I'm confident that I can exercise most of
Unicon's features in context of CGI apps. That would be my learning
sandbox.
Are there any CGI-aware folks on this list, besides Jeffery? TIA..
