What really surprised me is that someone got killed at the philly diner two
weeks ago, and this is the first I've heard about it. I've said it before,
and I'll say it again, I think our access to what types of crimes are taking
place in our neighborhood is poor. One thing, for sure, that I'd like to see
UCD (or someone) do is keep an accurate public record of what's going on.
Very often, I think, we've seen a pattern of crime reported by people on the
list and I know I feel better and I'm more useful to the community when I
know there's a guy posing as a meter reader robbing houses, or some guy
going door to door saying he locked his wallet in his car and needs a tow
truck or whatever. I also want to know what happens to people who get
arrested -- were they guilty? Were they innocent? Shouldn't we know if
there's a rash of armed robberies?
