Well, here's that discussion list URL, before I posted the e-mail address by mistake.

Hope to hear more about products like SenseTalk.
Product-specific lists may be meeting people's everyday needs, but they can't go quite so far into possibilities and the theoretical "best way" as a general list. Can comparisons and differences between products be discussed truly objectively on product-specific lists? People can't very well, or very comfortably, discuss ideas for or actual new/other xTalk products, or ideas about how xTalk could be used in completely different areas compared to existing products.
May not be practical or profitable to discuss such things in the short term, but ideas and discussions do make a difference in the long term. Such discussions are probably not needed every day, but when there is a desire to discuss a topic, there should be a place for it.
More practical and everyday may be something like--I have SC, Rev, and SenseTalk, which is best for this particular project? Imagine a truly objective discussion on that without any bias or selling. Not sure that'll ever happen, but it's nice to think about. :-)
For me, I'd like to see xTalk syntax used more widely. Imagine WebTalk instead of Javascript, or ProTalk instead of C++. ;-) Raney would probably disagree with the latter.
So everyone is welcome to that group if you need a place now and then for those discussions that don't fit into a product-specific list.
